SHARE

The Servitisation for the Energy Transition (SET) Alliance is delighted to announce the launch of the 2025 Efficiency-as-a-Service (EaaS) Innovation Showcase Awards! These Awards celebrate outstanding, service-based solutions delivering measurable energy and resource efficiency, creating significant value for customers worldwide.

What are the EaaS Innovation Showcase Awards?

The Awards recognise and promote innovative Efficiency-as-a-Service (EaaS) projects across diverse sectors globally. Projects will be evaluated based on their environmental and social impact, scalability, replicability, and innovative approaches. Innovation could be demonstrated through advancements in technology, digital infrastructure, creative financing, risk-sharing models, or by successfully introducing EaaS in new markets or customer segments.

Benefits for Winners

All eligible submissions will be featured in a published article, highlighting their contributions to advancing energy efficiency and sustainability.

The top three projects selected by the evaluation committee will:

  • Receive formal recognition as winners of the 2025 EaaS Innovation Awards.
  • Benefit from a professionally developed case study supported by BASE.
  • Gain extensive visibility through promotion across the networks of SET Alliance, BASE, and strategic partners, establishing them as global leaders in service innovation.

Who Should Apply?

We invite submissions from companies implementing innovative EaaS solutions. Projects must be completed or in their final stages, adhering to the essential criteria of the EaaS model:

  • The solution incorporates technologies delivering measurable energy or resource efficiency improvements.
  • The solution provider owns, maintains, and operates the asset/infrastructure.
  • The EaaS service is priced per unit of output or equivalent, prioritising output value rather than asset ownership.
  • Ownership of equipment remains with the provider throughout the contract.
  • The service is offered via contract, accounted as an off-balance expenditure for customers.
  • Where applicable, solution providers manage utility expenses (e.g., electricity, water) to maximise efficiency incentives.
  • Users may exit contracts early without paying the full equipment cost.
  • Refrigerant-based technologies must employ natural or low Global Warming Potential (GWP<150) refrigerants.
