Comfort Loop, a business unit of Grupo CYVSA, a member of Daikin Group, is a prominent CaaS provider for applied HVAC systems in Latin America. Comfort Loop completed a chiller system retrofit project for a commercial real estate building in Mexico City, the Torre Optima II, which has achieved Gold level LEED certification.
A unique as-a-service model for a unique building
Inmobiliaria Brom’s commercial building, Torre Optima II, is working towards obtaining LEED level Gold Certification in operations and maintenance. They signed a contract with CYVSA in September 2020 for their Comfort Loop scheme, which replaces old equipment with more energy-efficient options and includes advanced automation and long-term maintenance.
The contract is structured as a 5-year service agreement, where CYVSA takes care of the implementation, operation, maintenance and repair, rather than a financing or leasing model. The customer pays a fixed monthly fee and receives service-level guarantees for the building’s cooling capacity.
Daikin financed the project and plans to continue supporting the Comfort Loop initiative as a way to tackle challenges in HVAC systems and fight climate change.
